Don't be so sure about that David!! There is still plenty of warm water in it's path, so it could pick up speed again. Heard this morning that New Smyrna Beach could be ground zero for the hurricane...hope they are wrong!!!Originally posted by PussyMan

David Best of luck to you and yours down there. We just got our first taste of this impending storm here. About 10 good minutes of increased winds. Nothing big but enough to remind me of whats on the way.Comment

I am in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and I went out this Am and went swimming in almost a ghost town. It is now 6pm and the winds are picking up so I took my ass in doors!! Man, I hope this hurricane take a hard right and loses steam out over the atlantic. It's calm right now with occasional heavy gust of winds and rain. I'll keep ya posted.......
