LOL! A neighbor has *all* of the accessories on his *Nissan 240SX* (no shit). HUGE spoiler, custom underbody fiberglass, fiberglass side-panel molding to add rear-brake vents and no door handle, huge ram-air hood, hood pins, coffee can exhaust tips, etc. We're talking about what must be over $4,000 in mods.
The sad thing is that the owner can't afford to paint over the primer, nor can he afford any engine mods at all (not that you'd want any on that car).
Oh yeah, and he has chrome spinners... on the front wheels only. He's probably saving up for the rear ones.Comment

Actually, 240sx's make wicked budget track cars, and are heavily modified and raced in Japan. The japanese motor came with a turbo from the factory, and can hold a decent amount of power, so a lot of people import those and swap them in. The car I was referring to has no turbo, no power-adders that I could see from looking from under the car (OK, I was curious when I saw the hood pins, which are a racing necessity). All show and no go... heh.

first off, those tires generally ride like shit. if i'm going to spend $50k on an suv, i want the fucker to ride nice like it was intended. i drive a lowered truck, and the ride quality is downright sickening (and it's NOT 4wd - but it does have normal tires on it).
second, if i'm buying a 4wd, i'm buying it for a purpose. if i want to go flying through a snow drift or play in the mud, i don't want to have to worry about my z-rated race tires getting me stuck.
