Want $10-20 ? How do I......

Once in a while my internet goes out, and it's out now. However, on my laptop I can catch the wireless signal if I point it near the window.

I tried this once before but somehow fucked it up....

How do I network my desktop and laptop with the wireless cards, and use the internet connection that the laptop is receiving....on the desktop?

If you got some quikie correct directions, you got cash! I guess i'm just a network retard, or you can't relay the connection like that?

use a cross over cable between the laptop and the desktop then just bridge the two connections in the laptop, that is the wireless and the lan connection.

other person, we're lookin for a cordless solution here and i think ive tried to bridge via wireless but did not work cuzz i was getting the signal through wireless?

not sure, but you need to know for sure

Im assuming you have an ethernet port and a wireless card on your laptop well do this, use the wireless card to access the signal then connect a crosscable from the ethernet port on the laptop to your acces point/router (if its wireless configure the desktop to access that device) if its not wireless connect the access point/router via a crossover to your desktop and then share the internet access.

how do i configure the "desktop" of my pc to connect to the laptop

im not using wires.....and i cant GET the signal from the other person on the desktop, only on the laptop when it is near the window

thats why i want to get the singal via wireless cards to the desktop

so i made a bridge or whatever im just not sure exactly what to do and thats what i need...

you got aim or what?
