You really got to take everything in the Bible with a grain of salt.
People in those days were married before the age of 18.
Does solve some problems though. But highly unrealistic in this day and age.

I think I will stick with the Jewish religion as it is a good deed there. I talked to my Rabbi, he says that premarital sex is not a bad thing, and can, in a way, promote marriage. So I say, Let's fuck!

BTW, it's not a sin, as long as it's not a sheep, camel or someone else's wife. . .

and it's a double mitzvah on the sabbath

This is actually a smart thought. If you've never had sex and then it's a disaster on your wedding night I'm thinking your honeymoon is gonna blow and your marriage might go right down the tubes. Sex can destroy a relationship, so make sure it works before you get married.

You honestly expect me to believe that Jesus didn't have sex with Mary Magdellan? I think people take the bible WAY too literally. It's supposed to be a symbolic book. The idea being that you decide what's good...a guide to being a good person, and ONLY a guide, not a gospel that you should follow to the letter.

I don't believe that sex before marriage will send you to hell. Did I have sex before marriage - hell yeah, a bunch of times. Do I think I'm going to hell? No I don't, why? Because I always try and do right by others and always try to put others before myself. I try to be a good person and I always try and put right mistakes I've made along the way. I think that "God" is the good inside of people and not one all powerful being, and the only judgement you get on judgement day is from yourself and those you leave behind. Question is, when all is said and done, if you were lying on your deathbed, right now knowing that in a few hours your time is up, will you have any regrets? That is your judgement.

I do believe that pushing your religion on others is is worthy of being elevated to a deadly sin.

I believe it also says in the bible, "Judge not, lest thee be judged thine self". So I wish people would stop worrying about what I'm doing and start worrying about their own lives and morals. If you're too busy worrying about other people going to hell, then you've got too much time on your hands.

I think it depends on which sector of which religion you're practicing. Southern Baptists say premarital sex is forbidden.

The First General Baptists believe something slightly different regarding the Baptist faith.
Second General Baptists are way over the top!! Goin crazy!

Then there is the religion (escapes me right this sec ) that won't allow the women to cut their hair or wear makeup. You can see those girls out and know they are of that faith. They also look to the bible and read something in there that they interpreted to mean that prettying up is a sin.

The Southern Baptists I know think those plain girls are abusing the bible and reading what they want into the word to create that portion of their religion.

Every religion believes they are right!!!

Premarital sex is wrong if you practice the religions that say its' wrong and that's in your heart. I think a good point was made, in that many religions where woman are shamed for being sexual and save themselves you get a probable mismatch sexually and that pretty much sucks for the rest of Christian womens lives who have to 'submit' to their husbands even if that is not their sexual inclination.

In my experience, I think that people put feelings, emotions and common sense on hold in the name of religion. Being true to who you are, and raising normal, non zealot children who are good people is more important than being dammed to hell for submitting to hormones.

Premarital sex by clergy with their counseling patients, or their youth group participants.. now that's really wrong.
