    Freezing My Ass off in Saskatoon (and to those I owe email)

    For those without a clue as to where Saskatoon is, it is in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan, in our prairies, about 200 miles north of the 49th parallel, which is the Canada-US border in the west.

    The last two days we set record colds. -45 and -48C.

    I was supposed to finish this project at the end of December for fuck sake, and now I am here an extra month and feel like I am at the North Pole.

    We had a go-live party on Saturday, and my laptop was in the trunk of the car for three hours. Guess allowing 1/2 hour warmup back at the apartment was not enough. The hard drive got fucked, and I had to get a new one.

    But good news is the data recovery succeeded.

    My email is recovered, and to those I owe one, it should be off this evening.

                          Doing a big software implementation at a company out here. I'm the one they figure can solve all the post go-live problems so that is why I am still here.

                          After this I hope to be doing photography and video fulltime.
