Yes I lived in Germany for two years (US Army I was stationed there) I went to Berlin in three ocasions and you are right is a very diverse city. Having a look at the war itself it is never one party only good or only evil. Polish people are forced to settle in former german parts of "Ostpreussen" by the russians. Don´t forget the behaviour of russian troops during the last days of the war.
My grandmother´s family for example - living in Danzig (today Gdansk) - were first victims of Hitlers "GESTAPO" and later victims of russians.
So I´m afraid it is impossible to devide the parties into good and evil. But there is one thing I´m quiet sure about: Hitler never was a person to be called genious.
And I´m more worried about the future. I believe in the follwing: if a similar situation like the one in Germany in 1933 will happen to another country today, there will be someone like Hitler who causes another war.Comment
