i've been a smoker for about 8 yrs now (im 23 yrs old), and i smoke a pack a day.
i've been struggling with stopping as well. i almost stopped earlier this year. i just woke up, couldnt breath and looked at my smokes and threw them in the trash, washed all the ashtrays in the house and put them away in a box in the closet.
then i started to chew gum, suck on a lollypop, eat pretzels or popcorn (to substitue the hand-to-mouth pattern without gaining weight).
25 hours passed and i was goin strong! then, i got into a big fight with the Mr., took the truck and drove around angry, got a phone call about a family member that had a stroke, and ironically, stopped in the parking lot of a grocery store that was still open, i was crying so i needed to pull over, and just happen to land there.
bad mistake. i went into the store for more gum cuz i ran out. and walked out with a pack of smokes.

i didnt lite up at first. but when i got home, i did.
this saturday, i start working out at the gym again, and when im working out, i physcially cant breath if im still smoking more than 2 cigs a day. so im hoping that will kick the habit for good!!
i heard nicotene leaves the body after 3 days of not having any. so, thats my goal.....3 days. if i can make 3 days, i can make it!!!!
