10. Slavery is legal. Further, a slave owner may beat his slave with a stick (an exemption to assault laws). But if the slave dies then this is a misdemeanor subject to a period of no less than 18 months imprisonment; UNLESS the slave lingers for at least two days before dieing - then no crime has occured. (basis: Exodus 21:20-21)
