Yeah the flicker effect is because of the refresh rate that humans dont "see" with their eyes (but which cause the eyestrain). Most housecats dont see anything whatsoever on the tv screen when they have good eyesight.
So if your cat watches tv and sees things moving around on it, their eyes aren't too good.

Anywho, looks nice

I've got a 42" plasma, but havent used it as a monitor yet.. Great for true widescreen movies though
