I'm sure everyone on this board has a few stories of being burned. Yes I will admit I'm a newb to the adult business, hopefully I'm not a complete fucking idiot, but in truth I know jackshit about most of this but am willing to listen and learn.1: They may have tried to help others and been burned way before you came around.
2: The average newb is a compete fucking idiot or has yet to stand out from the rest of his classmates. We need time to filter this shit damn it!

There is also the fact that I'm established in my own life and not some 17 yr trying to turn a fast cheap buck before mommy kicks me outa the house. I've got nowhere to go... so I'm sticking around.

In my opinion, there are different 'somebodies' in this biz:
1. Those who are popular, know everyone, go to all the conventions, parties, ect. Popularity does not always mean financial success or any great accomplishment and alot of these people only have the boards as their claim to fame.
2. Those who are financially succesful and accomplished, are pillars in the industry, and might not be on a first name basis with everyone and/or popular and are more reserved/low key.
3. A few that that are #1 and #2 from above.
It's like drawing comparisons to high school..you had the nerds, the popular cheerleaders, and a few that combined brains, beauty and popularity.
