I recently ordered a new computer and have a very fast (100mbit) internet connection. When my pc is wasting time at moments I'm not using it, I would like it to work for me. Have any good ideas?

I dunno if your ISP allows it but a lot of ISP don't allow web-servers or ftp servers so you gotta make sure you're allowed to have one if you are going to have one cuz else you might get cut off

You could always join SETI - then again it wouldn't be working for you, it'd be working for them.
Probably the best thing to do would be batch up a bunch of photos and have it working on resizing them and making thumbs while you're not there, or have it converting video (that always takes a looooooong time and you don't want to sit through it).
But don't forget to have it run something like Ad-Aware, then scandisk and defrag at *least* once a week or your sleek new computer is going to be running like a sloth in two months.Comment
