            Hmm, that's a tough one. We've always worked by check. Just starting out now, people are not going to be crazy about waiting for the check to arrive.
            Wire seems to be your only option.
            I think it will cost you too much just starting out to have something set up in the US or to have someone handle it for you.

                        Lots of other businesses run on the rebill model (ALO and Gyms come to mind) they'll just continue to tighten restrictions.

                        If they ever DID stop rebills, it will be enforced starting the EXACT day they say they will.

                                                                                        If I were in your place I'd think about creating some sort of content plug in for paysites. Start shooting content and sell it as a plug in with daily/weekly updates. Then use the same content for your own TGPs and promote those same sponsors.
                                                                                        You could advertise like,"see the rest of my pics in teenpink.com for just 2.95" or something like that. then you're making money 2 ways.
                                                                                        5,000 is a bit small to start with but you just keep re-investing whatever you make.
                                                                                        That's the biggest mistake people make starting out in this business, they don't re-invest. If you make 100.00 a week starting out, spending that money won't change your life one bit so don't spend it! re-invest it into your business and grow it.

I've got good all around skills (mostly *nix, perl, sh etc) but I've never been much of a gui design person.

                                                                                                                                                                                Is it worth my time and effort learning things like dreamweaver, frontpage, photoshop.. or would it be smarter to just pay some gimp to do me a few logos and/or gallery designs?

                                                                                                                                                                                        I'm investing a little of my spare time/money into setting up some hilarious microniche galleries. I've got good all around skills (mostly *nix, perl, sh etc) but I've never been much of a gui design person.

                                                                                                                                                                                        Is it worth my time and effort learning things like dreamweaver, frontpage, photoshop.. or would it be smarter to just pay some gimp to do me a few logos and/or gallery designs?

                                                                                                                                                                                        I'm more of a 'vi index.html' person if you know what I mean.

                                                                                                                                                                                        I think you should have a handful of designs done with the understanding that you'll duplicate them yourself changing colors and stuff around.
                                                                                                                                                                                        Don't spend too much. its not gallery design that creates interest, its having the right content.

What do you think of the massive popularity of popup blockers, the legal implications, and the word that the next version of IE is going to have a built in popup blocker?

                                                                                                                                                                                                    I think popup blockers are the fruition of the misguided idea that the internet is free.
                                                                                                                                                                                                    I think legally, there is room for someone to sue the popup blockers. Who that is and how much they would have to spend is another story.
