The way that looks and the projected track that I just recieved from NOAA tells me that Tennessee may well be inland, but we're going to get some of that as it passes through.
It looks like it's going to go through Florida into Georgia and Alabama, eastern Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee (middle and eastern) and southwestern North Carolina.
I remember a hurricane that did that. It hit Florida as a Cat.5 and just plowed through and hit eastern Tennessee as a Cat.1
Just when you thought it was safe to live inland...
