Not looking good at all. Worst part is all the uncertainty.. i mean they basically said it could hit anywhere from Cuba to South Carolina. As of yesterday they were thinking it would hit around the Jacksonville area, now they are saying Daytona.
Either way, my guess is it's going to upgrade into a Catagory 5, which entails 155+ winds. Which will also entail the leveling of almost everything.
My God have mercy on Florida, first Charley and now Frances.. i see a lot of federal funding coming to the sunshine state. Christ i don't want to see any City/Area suffer thru this, but i just don't think i can deal with this right now.
If it's Catagory 3 or less i am riding it, anything more substantial and i am out. Life is TOO precious.
I am praying for everyone at this point.

They just announced that not only is this bigger than Charlie but that it could take 24 hours to cross Central Florida. Charlie only took 3 to 4 hours to cross.Comment

I just got back from CostCo and Home Depot......Total mob scenes here in Miami/Fort lauderdale. I've got supplies to be completely self sufficient for about a week, including power.

Just got back from Sam's , Walmart and Home Depot here in Miami. What a madhouse, people are getting really agitated down here (for good reason). Went looking for tarps, a generator, visqueen, D batteries, and more water. All three locations were sold out of everything except some odd lots of water.
I will be glad when this weekend is over.
