    I joined the gym today YAY ME

    I'm so excited I finally joined the gym which I have been wanting to do for months now!
    It is a women's fitness centre and the total selling point for me was the HOT TUB!!!!
    I toured another gym in town, but honestly felt it was too cramped. This one is very spacious and clean and the women only kindof helped.
    It was kind of pricy though: $250 to join and $44 per month. Any comparisons?

                      i joined the gym before.....did raquet ball (which nearly killed me), then i did jogging.....boring........so i took a Tae Bo class and relized I had the tapes at home, so i basically paid to go to use their Pool, Sauna & Hot tub.

                                                          Really annoys me that there are womens only gyms. I mean, if I opened up a gym and said MEN ONLY on the front door I'd have a cavalcade of placard-toting feminists barracading my doors and hurling badly-sung snippets of "We Shall Overcome" through the windows until they got their first woman officially signed up so as to "break down those offensive barriers surrounding women" all over the world! C'mon. Many of the larger gyms have womens work-out areas. So, you get your own and my dues pay for that? Nuh-uh. I'm all for womens rights, dont get me wrong. I believe that aside from the genetically inherited physical differences betwen men and women that we're essentially the same... But why do you get this treatment and we dont or cant?

                                                                  Theres a big difference that you're not seeing though.

                                                                  Bigger gals feel like men go to the gym to check out the women there. They might feel very insecure with their bodys and looks and dont want men to see their boobs & fat floppin around. Its a "I look fat" thing.

                                                                  If a guy ever worried about what women think of him workin out, i'd be scared. And id be even more scared if i saw an All Mens gym....if ya know what i mean

                                                                                      I went to the gym this afternoon and I did a bunch of walking lunges with some "heavier than I'm used to" weights, and my legs feel like rubberbands. I can already tell I'm going to by crying by tomorrow. I stood up a minute ago to go into the kitchen and my legs almost buckled.

                                                                                              my gym i go to is $50 a month but its huge and has everything.... and most importantly its open 24 hours for night owls like myself. best time to go to the gym is 1-3 in the morning.
