I'll bet you there isn't 1 big webmaster that wouldn't like to take back some of the 10's of thousands of dollars waisted on those stupid fucken parties.

Howard, $8,000 is chump pocket change to the players here who are buying a couple sigs at that price. To EscortBiz that's not even pocket money, more like a couple pennies sitting on the floor.
Its a write off since its advertising.
They get the media event pr out of it.
And there are side deals on some of the sig transactions that go over $1k.
You get a ton of page views, can't just look at the post count.
Only a couple guys will be lucky to pull the media event sales. You can't have a dozen doing that or it loses its effect and value as a one of kind thing.

Yeah, the whole sig buying thing seems absurd to me because you appear to be working for or pushing a program you possibly have no interest in or info about. However, I do see the reasoning behind it. You buy sig space from someone with a decent post count and a rep whose posts get a lot of views that are certain to turn into some good sign ups. Worth a shot to those looking for advertising that's innovative. It is about whatever works and it looks like its working, whether it be long or short term.
