Well, ICANN has a right then even if outdated to take the sites back. You agree to this when you buy a domain name.

For the longest time you had false info, it seemed. AZ instead of Canada for a long time. You should have kept them up to date, and this wouldn't have happened. No one's fault but yours. You can blame others for closing your site down, but you can't blame anyone but yourself. If you had correct info in your WHOIS, ICANN would never have pulled the name no matter how much people hate you.
