Charley gusted to 105 here in Orlando. It took a long path from the coast to here so that helped a lot as it died down. Charley had 130 MPH winds 35 miles from it's center. This one has 140 mph winds 85 miles from it's center so it's about 3 times larger. And it's projected path is much shorter to get to Orlando. The county is working overtime getting all the tree debris picked up, but I doubt they will have it all picked up in time. All this debris is potential missles. It is everywhere. Everyone cut up trees and just put all the debris on the sides of the roads.

Yup....it's not pretty. I just had some engine problems with my boat, and now I'm holding off getting it fixed. The insurance company may just be buying it off of me this weekend.

It's beautiful and hot but I don't think I could live with that stress worrying about my kids & house and belonging every summer. I'd rather suffer the 6 months of freezing snow/ice that I rarely truly suffer from in the winters than go through what the people in Florida go through.

warning systems are there for a reason.
move to another place and simply forget about that part of the world.
