I was on the discovery crew that rode with Indian Larry and Mondo for biker build off. We went from Pittsburg to Concorde North Carolina. He was performing stunts for the audience as part of the event. He had just gone through a 60 foot tunnel of fire dragging another stuntman. Kissed his wife and jumped on another bike to do his standing on the bike while driving, a stunt that he has done thousands of times, his bike was going too slow and the front wheel wobbled. Ashe went to reach for it he missed the handle bars and hit his head on the pavement. He wore a helmet for all of the ride but did not wear it when he fell. We were filming it but he was not doing it for Biker Build off. He was doing it because the venue billed it, he said before he was not going to do it but did not want to let the fans down who came out to see him. There was EMT's and fire fighters there for all the stunts that were being done. He did not hit a pothole. I rode with him the last 4 days he was alive, he was one of the most amazing people I have every met. Everytime somebody broke he was the first to help, every where we stopped he was mobbed by fans and talked to every one of them. All of the guys on the ride from his shop were really great people.
We had at least 10 conversations about Belladonna. He was a huge fan of hers. He kept asking me if I knew her because he and his wife wanted to meet her. She was the one and only woman he wanted to meet.
Indian Larry was a tremendous human being I am very fortunate to know him for the few days I got to meet him. My heart goes out to his wonderful wife and friends. They have all suffered an overwhelming lose.
