probably youve seen the Chevy Chase movies, but I have read most of G MacDonalds work, and love it.
Its not easy to sit back and watch the thought of it being hacked by some new young guys who dont respect Gregory MacDonald but just want to do the remake because Chevy made the first ones rock.

No, I totally understand. My husband is a fan of the Fletch and I am mereely a casual observer. I have to say that I am not a Chevy Chase fan (I like the Vacation movies but not him so much) and I wasn't a particular fan of the films. I am a Jason Lee fan but I do understand his limitations. I really do understand where yout are coming from. It is a bit like me with Hollywood buying up all the old Ealing Comedy scripts and remaking them (ladykillers the most recent)..they are something I love and I don't want them destroyed for the sake of the mass public.
