    how long after I change dns in my for a domain till it takes effect

    I had to renew desertentertainment.net and fucking register.com fucked me all up I just went in and pointed the dns back to where it should be how long till it's back?

        the domain is already propagated.. I jsut had to renew it and when I did they changed my dns on one of my sites... de.net notice my sig button..... what the fuck... I changed it now when I run a whois it shows the changes I made now when will my siet come back

          Registrar updates take 24 hours usually, as for the information to propagate afterwards depends on TTL values but overall you should definitely see everything resolved in under 48 hours. And most likely within 24.

              I hope so... cause no new affiliates are signing up now cause of that.... those muther fuckers.... wonder why they changed the dns on desertentertaiment.net and not sincityvirgins.com makes no sence to me..... and when you call they want you to e-mail ... I fucking hate that shit I am heated......

                  It can take up to 1/2 hour for Name Server changes to appear on .UK names. Also, .UK names require at least 2 Name Servers."

                    it will show on whois's but it wouldnt be resolved .. i can change my nameservers and if u whois me it will say the new nameserver but it isnt resolved yet.. its a pain in the ass i know but only thing u can do to prevent downage is have ur old site still up and the duplicate on the new nameserver.. that way its a seemless transfer
