no it doesnt suck, depends on how much and what kind of traffic, i probly pull around 1:1000 alot of times. but it all depends i dont filter my traffic just incase there is a few extra sales built in the bulk.Comment

1:1000 first page hits is probably equivalent to about 1:300 to 1:400 2nd page (too bad many sponsor show only 2nd page hits) and that is not really bad.
I can beat that with some sponsors but not with others. I'd say it's pretty average....it only took one brick to make that window dropComment

and my sites are listed on most major link lists......but I havn't sent enough traffic to tell...when I send 20k I'll be able to judge better......I guess
however I'm not happy with those numbers

I get a lot better than 1:1000 with TGP galleries and a hell of a lot better with linklist freesite traffic.
Lets turn the question around to actually get productive for ya:
1)give us an example of one of your freesites and we'll critique it.
2)what linklists do you submit to
3)what sponsors are you pushing

i cant tell you for 2nd page because it depends on the tour as well. Some tours can send 80%+ of the surfers on the 2nd page and some others only 20-30% and still get same or more signups.
For free sites traffic I would consider acceptable 1:500-600 (first page). My personal experience was in the range of 1:400 or lower with revshare programs. How u send the traffic also plays a role. A "blind" FPA on the entry page most probably won't convert as good as traffic coming from a standard banner, but the FPA will send way more clicks. My first ever free site brought 14 sales thanks to Mcspike,my free site mentor.Comment
