for over a couple hundred bucks or if you just have to make sure you get it, i'd churn out a quick contract (and I have) and fax it over
grab a biz law book if you don't have one, read the contracts section (for this...read the whole book though)

the more money you pay for it the more likely a contract. I bought one of my domain names for $1,500 without a contract but it cant hurt to have one.too lazy to find advertising for this sig spaceComment

Yes, perfectly normal and expected if its a major domain acquisition.
Rick and I did 28 pages of agreements in total for Men from beginning to the closing date. And there were about 60 pages for the holding company setup. Had custom escrow agreement also.
The lawyers were smiling all the way to the bank during the months it took to get all the wording and terms agreed on.
But on this level you have to cover every possible thing and we did.
It was actually remarkable at one point the deal almost got blown completely over just a sentence or two in the indemnification clauses, with each law firm wanting their wording to be the one used. It was a surreal experience thanks to the lawyers on both sides not wanting to budge and it literally even got to the GFY point a couple times.Last edited by KRL; 01-25-2004, 02:55 PM.
