Has anyone made any large dough with Escort sites, well I know EscortBiz has But anyone else? Are they profitable? How does escort traffic convert? Any input would be appreciated
The primary factors for a successful escort listing site:
1) Getting the escorts to trust you enough to list.
2) Keeping the listings fresh. Escort turn over is massive, so you have to be very aware who is still in business.
3) Regional critical mass. It does you no good having two ladies listed in each regional market. Most large markets have 1000 ladies working. You have to know who they are.
4) Getting the escorts to pay you for advertising. This means your traffic has to make the ladies money.
5) Spending alot of money advertising on the web and in print.
The two largest escort sites are free classifieds sites: Eros Guide and Cityvibe. Both are large operations with offices, dozens of employees, and hundreds of thousands of dollars of monthly revenue.

Eros Guide and Cityvibe (escpecially) both run their own escort services. Thats why it is worth it for them to let other escorts have free ads, it provides a cover for their activities.
HeavenorHell.com or theeroticreview.com probably make a few $$$ a month off escort reviews.

Neither Cityvibe.com or Eros-Guide.com run their own escort agency (unless Cityvibe.com only runs it out of Los Angeles). Your assumption is false. There are many services that do operate small listing sites.
Originally posted by inthestars Its not an assumption, it's a known fact. I used to run an escort review site for three years and received numerous reports about it!
I have been in the online escort field for the same amount of time and have never heard of peep. Eros is located in my region and I have met several of their employees. You could be right. Oh well. What site did you own by the way? I am always interested in buying small review sites.
A friend tried to do a San Diego LA area only escort site and it went under quick. The girls are hard to get ahold of to list, he was giving away free listings to get the site going at first. He got alot of traffic from another Escort site www.divaguide.com but could never sell any listings. You really have to stay on top of it to get anything from it. Just like any thing else there are so many out there and most surfers are just looking I'm sure.

It is definitely not the right business for the weekend adult webmaster.
