I know it's possible to get high speed in Mexico, but it's probably not as easy as in the US. You might need to bribe some local official with a bottle of Tequila every week to keep it running.

Hardcore Skateboarder since the only thing they played on the radio was The Beach Boys - circa 1975

If you want to stay in the states, get your ass to Santa Barbara, California. 1.5 hours from LA, a fresh and booming tech industry, beautiful weather year round ... and it is NOT LA. Small town feel, gorgeous, buildings are not allowed to be taller than the Palm trees that grow along the coast.... spanish tiled roofs .... and a SICK mountain range half mile from the coast for all your adventures.

Apparently Costa Rica is the most beautiful frickin' place on earth with the most biodiversity, very US friendly, everybody speaks english as a second language from childhood, lots of nice corporate perks, inexpensive land and investment opportunities, and a hop skip and a jump from every where in the carribean, central, and northern south america.
