lol yes I love all of those things, but life and people here in New Zealand are a little different from the states. Here you can have a good punch up and if it's with the type of person that "Chris" seems to be they're not going to call the cops, and they're not likely to shoot you. You also don't get raped in prison here.

To clarify, I'm not really suggesting that he go over there and kick the guy's ass, for a multitude of reasons (although it would be kind of funny if he did). In my experience those wife beaters fall into two categories - those that bitch out in the face of a real challenge, and absolute Jake the Muss psychos who'll kill anything given the opportunity.

Okay, in all seriousness... call the police. Let them listen to the VM and record it or file it away or whatever. It will cover your ass (in case he comes over starting shit), it will help cover HER ass by giving the police record a history on this asswipe (even if she pussies out and doesn't press charges, the police can still do something - especially if he happens to hit her daughter), and it will set a precedent that you are an actual businessman who is hiring this woman for work rather than a 'boyfriend' or 'lover' (which is what he'll claim when/if they drag his ass into jail).

Report it to the police, keep the VM filed away somewhere (make a note in your day planner or on your calendar as to what day/time he called and left the message), and move on with life/business.

Trust me, you don't want to respond to this asshole and get dragged into this mess. Nothing but trouble down that road.
