                                              I'm no domain expert, but this is what I've been told (repeatedly)...

                                              The ideal domain is short (with exceptions, like for instance chocolatechipcookierecipe.com, which will do well in the search engines).
                                              Hyphens are bad.

                                              Numbers are bad. (People don't like to type them, I guess?)

                                              Memorable is good and can overcome these obstacles.

                                              Just look at AL4A and others.. link-o-rama does pretty well in spite of the hyphens.
                                              Sleep well, and dream of large women.

                                                                                                                                      When I checked Overture's tool for Olympictrial.com, it came up with 51,000 searches last month alone. It was'nt until right after I hit purchase out of pure excitement that I remembered the "s" problem with Overture.

                                                                                                                                      Aside from all of that, while none of these are high priced newsworthy domains, they can make money, and some are quite good.
