#1 I do manual shift. I hate the auto shift-- the timing on is sucks and its not smooth at all. It's too jerky, so I manual shift and I do not use the paddle shifters, haven't got that down yet.

#2 Its like this.....the car is a stick, but you have no clutch and no control. Like I take off in 1st and the car starts jerking back and forth (you know when you firsted learned to drive a stick) and it won't stop. You can't put the clutch in to stop it, you just have to shift and then you are going all slow, etc. Errrrkkk! I have not figured out what I am doing to make this happen, but it happens quite often no matter how smooth I try to take off.

My husband thinks I am nuts of course, because he thinks its just great and never has any of these issues. So, I have to think maybe its me LOL Anyway--anyone else ever have these issue with the SMG?
It's very common with highly tuned engines in general, though Medium Pimpin's program owner has a 2002 SMG M3 and it drives nothing like Cambo's 2004 SMG M3, it has none of the jerkyness at low RPMs that you're talking about whatsoever and it's got quicker response times. I think it's mostly just the tuning.
