    if you contemplate suicide are you mentally stable?

    how and why would someone even think of doing business with a person that is or has contemplated suicide?

    does it seem like a trivial matter?

    or do you think anyone that comes out looking for sympathy by talking about killing themselves should be seriously evaluated as to their mental capacity, and feel that in no way shape or form that you would do any business with them?

    discuss, I am interested in hearing what you all think.

      Wasn't there some webmaster who hung himself in the last year?

      I think people serious about suicide don't talk about it much. Those who do usually are just "crying out for attention" as they say.

      Actually, that is more info than I would want to know about someone. Did someone post about killing themself or something??

          I myself think it really comes down to the situation that the person is in.

          Some people do it for the "cry for help" or attention. A lot of people go through things when they are at a young age that do not make sense to them once they are older, they feel lost, or betrayed. As this build up inside usually someone they count on or love will turn on them making them feel lost and not needed, once that happens the point of life is lost.

          It also can come down to working on everything, life, work, friends, family and it all gets to be to much, it's an escape from doing everything you can and just not getting anywhere. It can build up and push you over the edge.

          I don't think these sort of people should be looked down upon or anything. I think it's perfectly sane to just get pushed over the edge and not want to deal with it anymore.

                              Having the thought cross your mind is completely different than "contemplating" it. I think if a person has put serious thought into, i.e. contemplated it, then they have some issues that need to be addressed. And no, I wouldn't do business with them. Those who've posted the "cry for help" situations also make very valid points.

However, murder suicide makes for more publicity. Even though, that's kind of lame too. If somebody has a death wish, why not do something fun and exciting like sky diving or base jumping.                                                                                                                                   I think that if someone have a horrible life that they decide they don't want, that's not indicative of anything by itself. If you have absolutely nothing to look forward to in the present or the future, why would you have to be mentally instabile to choose to end it? It seems a rather logical last solution if you indeed have no hope.

                                                                                                                                  The people that use alleged suicide intentions as a way to get attention however have some issues to work on.

Not many people really contemplating suidcide will tell you that their thinking about it.

                                                                                                                                                                          My ex use to tell me that she attempted suicide, but her brother walked in. I told her that she was just looking for atttention, if you're going to kill yourself and you're forsure you want to, you will make sure that NOBODY will be around when you do it, so you can't be stopped. All alot of these people are looking for is attention.

                                                                                                                                                                          The same ex tried to pull the I'll slash my wrist right here, I handed her a knife and said, go for, I wanna see you, I won't stop you and I'll call 911 once you pass out so you can't be revived. She was looking for attention, because she backed out! I will say the episodes like this, they are mentally unstable, because of the whole attention draw.

                                                                                                                                                                          But if you do commit suicide, there's no telling what state you were in. Some people get pushed to the edge, shit happens man. What about the people that jumped from a 100 stories up from the WTC? That is technically committing suicide, but was was their state of mind? They're going to die anyways, are the mentally unstable?

It's pointless to start useless threads about a topic that may hit close to home for a lot of people.

I've got myself a good girl who's been taking care of me, and I'll be moving very soon and starting my life all over again totally reborn.... finishing off things that I had started and couldn't finish and starting brand new things.

How focused can you be on bizness if you're figuring out a way to prevent yourself from living?

Everybody deals with a lot of shit, some people can cope, others can't. Some give up, some don't. Some decide to put an end to it, some get better and keep on going.

                                                                                                                                                                                              I think I wouldn't judge a person who contemplated suicide in their past if they are having good karma now, and if they didn't hurt others during their bad times... feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...
