I won't date a girl seriously unless:

I have never brought a girl into a relationship of mine with a guy so i do not have any opinions on that subject...
i do have a close friend that has been with his girl for about 9 years and they have an open relationship and they are very honest with each other, they are best friends. If the husband happens to kiss some girl at a club he runs home to tell his wife. His wife is not bisexual and they are both deeply in love. His sex drive is much more then her sex drive and she doesn't think that she should regulate him and has no problem with this open relationship. He never has to lie to her or be sneaky. I respect that.
My whole life i didn't believe in any other kinds of relationships other then Monogomous ones... i did not believe in dating or one night stands and I have had probably every guy cheat on me. I even had bf's try to screw my gf's while i was dating them. (like my gf's are not going to tell me)
Girls know when their man is fucking around whether they say something to him or not, they know.
Being cheated on is not what hurts for me, I think being lied to when you thought this person was your best friend is what hurts.

The sexual morays of today?s society are a lot more open than they used to be. Unfortunately, especially here in the United States, the religious right holds sexual freedoms in the church?s stained glass prisons. The importance of one man / one woman family unit is rammed down people?s throats my the media, government, and schools from an early age ? your average person considers anything else weird or perverted.
With that all being said -- men and women that have these feelings outside of society?s norms must lie to their partner, family, and just about everyone in order live a double life just -- instead of being honest about what they really want. Being dishonest is a lot worse than being sexually open.
Plus, you also can?t forget how jealous, petty, and insecure both men and women get. I think one man / one woman is here to stay, but that?s just my opinion.Comment

Honesty is the most important part to a relationship.
Im poly. I have a poly family, consisting of a girl that I sleep with and her husband that I dont sleep with. I date other guys and girls, they know about everything.
I dont think that there is one guy or girl out there for me. I envision a close family type unit of a few people, with occasional diversions. I dont think that sex outside of the relationship hurts a solid relationship.
Definatly, dont get into swinging or outside relationships if yours is on the rocks. I have found that open couples tend to have more solid relationships, because they are completly honest with each other. The lack of honesty leads to many more problems than sleeping with other people.Comment

Swinging and a open marriage are two different beasts. I considering a open relationship a path to pain. Swinging is shared for the most part, where open in going on dates and such. I think if you are only seeing a person to go to dinner and fuck its all happy and very hard not to get attached.
