It would have been great to see the Colts of this year matched up against the Patriots when they were at their peak, with no defensive injuries, Brady at the top of his game, and Weis still their offensive co-ordinator.

That would have been a game for the ages.

The fins only had a 14 game reg season back then

that could happen. SD has the firepower to stay with them offensively, but SD's defense has been weaker this year than last.

Probably won't be an upset seeing how most of the Colts won't be playing.

Correction -- in '72 the Dolphins went 14 and 0 in the regular season. I'm assuming that the 17-0 includes the games they won in the playoffs.

They did NOT win the superbowl in '72 (lost to Dallas Cowboys 24-3), but did put up back to back wins in '73 and '74.
