Flash is the best advertising medium as evidenced by it's ubiquity and support in both adult and non adult markets. Content to bandwidth it can't be beaten in a rich media display, meaning a better use of screen realestate, and whether it's annoying or not it does get attention. There are also the more subtle effects of a company using a good piece of flash gaining a certain cache in the viewers mind of being able to afford to purchase it and eyecandy the site up as opposed to a two bit operation struggling to make ends meet.

I have used Flash since 4.0, I am not being willfully clueless. The only real good thing I see it used for in the adult site world is banner ads. IMO.
