I just figured I should post in this thread.
I owe my study of the Russian Language to tATu. Everytime I climb into my vehicle, I have a Russian Pop CD in there, whether it be tATu, Via-Gra, Sasha, or even Glukoza.
I decided I wanted a bit more of a challenge to a foreign language. The Romance Languages (French, Italian, and Spanish) are overdone. It was a tossup between Latin and Russian, and Russian won because I didn't think I could get a CD of someone singing in Latin other than the Benedictine Monks.
tATu is very popular in other parts of the world. It appeals mostly to the disco crowd, and guys who want to go to their concerts to see a live kiss between Yulia and Lena.
I just wish they weren't so "sugar-pop"/disco.
