Are Sites Like Hush-Hush.com Legal?

A budy of mine came across this site hush-hush.com, and was asking me if it was legal. My first thought was no, simply because i didnt see any Custodians of Records listed on the site and the content doesnt look legit...

However i noticed " Australian laws apply. All models are 16 years or older."

Whats the deal with Australian laws?

LOL, he actually says 16? As far as I know any "adult style" nudity requires the model to be 18+ just like most other places.

I am not sure about the other areas of that site, but the webcam section is definitely Not Quite Right. His surfers submit images to get free access - there is no model release, and no age verification. Some of the images were lifted directly off my webcam archive site. I don't own those images (the girls do - I merely have permission to display them) but it clearly displays that there is absolutely no verification of source or age happening. I still check his webcam section occasionally to see if it has any ripped images of camgirls I know.

Ok, I just had a look and quickly found some damning evidence... one particular camgirl got a bit excited when she was 15 (fifteen) and took some topless shots, although she claims she didn't know the camera was uploading images to her site. There are 42 pics of that session on 1stflirt.com (the hush-hush webcam section). I won't link to the archive for obvious reasons. Where can this be reported?

While we are on the subject, what is up with the MANY 100% CircleJerk tgps I see where all the thumb previews are VERY bad CP and they all link to each other in popup hell, but there are no galleries or anything so it is very hard to actually nail down if their content exists and should be reported or if its just a big teasing illusion to build up endless cj traffic...

That's some strange logic there... I have 4 servers in the USA but I am definitely not located there.

Complaining to USA authorities may get his hosted pulled, but probably not much more... if he's outside of the USA then he does not need to comply with 2257 requirements.

If he ever gets done it will probably be for straight copyright violation rather than the more serious offence of child pornography.

The only reason i say that is beacuse a lot of people take up PO Boxes and get Inc. in other countrys where the laws and taxes may be a little more loose than here in the USA.

Anybody else think the US that should lower the age at which any nudity = abuse?

I mean, 16 year olds are not "children". Most 16 year olds have been having sex for quite some time, and a 16 year old girl uploading topless pics of herself is not "abuse".

In most parts of the world, throughout most of history, 16 has been a normal socially-acceptable marrying child-bearing age. Before modern medicine, that used to be almost middle aged!

I'd much rather law enforcement spend their time, money, personal, and resources going after real kiddy porn vs regulating the morals of hormonal teenagers.

Isn't calling a teenager with a webcam "child-abuse" only serving to cloud the severity of actual abuse and real criminals?

This would fall under the law known as "EXPECTED Right To Privacy," REGARDLESS of the age of the man or woman involved, so long as the individuals are not engaged in a sexual act (In MOST cases this would define everything on 1st Flirt).
