    Who Does Your Taxes ?

Do you do your own taxes or have an accountant figure it all out ?

I have an accountant. I put everything into Quicken (I created tons if "sub accounts") and print out reports and hand him the whole mess every year. It's the best $500-700 a year I spend.

I do all the day to day stuff in Quickbooks. Give my CPA firm a P&L and Balance Sheet at year end along with all my personal stuff. They do the actual returns.

I could do it myself, but it's nice to have that buffer between the IRS and myself.

Accountant is the only way to go. So many tax laws changing each year.

You sound very organized. I usually do my own taxes and get stuck with doing my brothers too!

Much better..thanks..other than losing 25lbs over the last couple of weeks, he's about back to normal. Spent 3 days in the hospital. He was so dehydrated from not wanting to put anything down his swollen and very sore throat, that they put 2 IVs in him and had them literally pouring. They gave him 3 liters of saline in the first 4 hours.

One good thing came out of all of it. His attending DR was a wonderful woman who I think can help him with his acid reflux, ulcer, celiac disease, etc. She's an assistent professor with the UW school of medicine whose specialty is teens. My son normally detests any doctor, but he seems really enthralled by her. The first day, she spent 30 minutes standing at his bedside talking about everything from his mono and stomach to his pets at home and football.

I am happy to hear he is doing much better! Its always nice to have a doctor with good bedside manner. That really helps in the recovery process.

My husband went to UW , he is actually from Seattle. He grew up in Lake Forest Park. You must be familiar with that area.
