if so, how much time do u put into it??

It all depends on who you know in what places. Some profit with AVS (ot so much anymore now due to the Visa regs), and some profit in TGP. I did for quite some time, but the constant updating due to Visa's regulations made me get out.
If you are lucky enough to know some TGP webmasters who have been around the block, you'll quickly realize their traffic is gold. The key to anything isn't what you know, it's who you know!Comment

Best bet at this point in the industry is to learn some of everthing and be prepared to switch over to another area if your main revenue stream collapses.Comment

Everybody makes their money from different sources. Some do TGP, MGP, galleries, AVS, free sites, search engines, you name it. I think most people tend to find something that they're best at and exploit their skills.
Pick a source that seems interesting and stick with it. But you must STICK WITH IT or you'll get nowhere. This applies to everything.
If TGP galleries look like something you might want to do, start surfing other galleries and sites, you'll get ideas for what might and might not work. Then start building and submitting. Watch your stats. Watch your results. pick something and work on it and be prepared to totally mess it up the first time and hope that each time you make less mistakes. Regardless of whichever one you pick there is going to be someone telling you there is no money in it and that all the money is in something else.
Just pick something, read all you can on that one topic and then just hold your nose and make the jump. Make it your own.Comment
