    Had a very long discussion with a multi millionaire who thinks it is a complete waste of time....

                      It gave me one thing - the proof that most ppl are stupid and that if I have some ideas, then I shoudl take the risk, because if not me, then who what kind of ppl will succeed in this world?

                      I still haven't quit it, in 6 months I will have the degreee, so now it would be too stupid to quit.

                                  A degree isn't about learning school facts. It's about setting a goal, and making it happen. I was lucky, and my degree actually taught me about real life business. Most other people get a degree that isn't based on reality, but they still benefit from their knowledge. . Go figure.

                                  Get a degree. You'll learn so much outside of your field of expertise that it isn't even funny. BS/BA isn't about your major, it's about all the other shit you learn along the way.

                                          Baal i totatally agree with this, a degree is jsut part of UNi, the other things you learn and experience are what shape you into the person you can be. Being at university as enhanced my business beyond belief because of the skills I have learnt. I do not think the actual SUBSTANCE in the degree is worth much however.

                                                                                          I did 2 years of "Liberal Arts" at a small liberal arts college (I got credit for taking pictures and drawing pictures, which was actually fucking cool), then did 3 years at at a business college. I got a degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS)... 1/2 Business, 1/2 Programming. It's a nice combo.

                                                                                                                                                                          i think it depends on the degree you do. i've got a degree in engineering and if you wanted to be an engineer at a decent level, there is no way you could do it without a degree. same would apply with chris if he had wanted to become a chemist i would imagine. it's different with some of the less vocational courses, some seem to be a complete waste of time.

                                                                                                                                                                          there's lot's of people who make big money as entrepeneurs and that's not something you learn, you've either got it or you haven't. a degree wouldn't make any difference to these people. but not everyones an entrepeneur and to get a better standard of job in this world you need an education just to get an interview.

                                                                                                                                                                          i probably won't use my degree, and i'm earning 10x what my friends from uni are who are on graduate training schemes, but i'm still glad i did it. (i only bought a pc because i was starting at uni). i'm even thinking of doing an msc part-time soon.

Did my exams well and caught the title Dr. Wasted my time with it, because if I would have started porn in the middle 90´s, I would have earned more money during this time.

                                                                                                                                                                                      Of course sometimes it is helpful, but at the ending your bank account counts, not the university degrees. Maybe it´s worth it when porn doesn´t work any longer - who knows?
