Okay. Webgurl says we're going to Whitespot. The one right near Stanley Park.
So that's what we do.

Aw man, I love Moxie's! Their chicken primavera is just lovely. But White Spot it is...
I used to play goal in street hockey, but that was back in high school. And we played at midnight in the Safeway parking lot. Not during the bloody daytime.
Shemp, quit hiding from me! Where did you gooooo?

OK, I guess no takers for hockey. But in case someone reconsiders, we will be at Cooper Park which is right underneath the Cambie Bridge on the north shore of False Creek along the water.. That is where Marinaside Drive meets Expo Ave. in Yaletown. Be there at 10:15 as we start at 10:30.Comment

wow... starting to wonder what I'm getting myself into here.
And you guys wonder why I never make it out to these things?

Nice that sounds like fun!
I think whitespot is good just because it is free parking, easy to find and the new one is nice.
And what can I say, I am whipped. ;)Comment

It's just down Richards from RIchards on Richards. ANyway, it's just an idea.email: [email protected]Comment

First you guys want to go to White Spot, then you decide on Fluid? What's with the semen motif in B.C.?
Lemme guess, you have an Irish bar named McSpermishes.
Or a fast food place called Bukkake King?
You could get Chinese: Cum Pao Chicken Palace.
For dessert, you could get some Spewmoni ice cream.

More Vancouver news:
If anyone is considering buying a home in the near future and wants to get a fixed mortgage, you should lock in now and get the current rate guaranteed until you are ready to buy. They just came down again on Friday and you can get a 5yr fixed for 4.75%.
If anyone is looking to move/rent, a place is opening up in my building which is very rare and may be the best value for your money in Vancouver.Comment

If you are referring to the rental, its not in Yaletown but on Beach Ave. in the West End/English Bay, across the street from/ocean/beach/seawall. I mentioned it, as rarely does an availability pop up in my building and if it does, it is taken before anyone has a chance to snag it and never will it make it into the newspaper (there are 8 units on 2 floors and I am the rookie here at 6 years). Its the smallest and oldest building on Beach and tourists take pics of it...The suite for rent is really nice (about 925 s.f. w/ hardwood floors...). Rent is $1000 which for the area/building/suite has to be up there as the best value in the whole city for what you get. My friends just bought a house yesterday and want to move out mid-Feb. and nobody knows about the upcoming availaibility yet.Originally posted by APN Philip

Brad can vouch for me
He drives a little too fast, but then I was right behind him.
I think we did Whistler to Squamish in about 20 minutes?!

That sounds like the opposite of 1000 Beach, the newest and largest building on that street (I have some friends in that building). :-) Although that suite does sound sweet, I'm looking for something a little bigger. I appreciate the info and have fun with the Van girls this weekend!Originally posted by hershie

Yes, every Sun. at same place. We are usually about 10 to 12 guys. I am the oldest player (39) and most out of shape.. Its pretty casual, no equipment (we have nets and goalie sticks).Originally posted by JohnW
Mmmmmm...street hockey. Haven't played street hockey for years but this sounds intriguing. Is it every Sunday at that location? How many people?Comment
