    what's the difference between credits and chargebacks?

    I see so far 2 credits and 0 chargebacks... either way they get their money back... but what's the difference?

    I always thought that a credit is something the company issues the buyer because of an error or miscommunication and a chargeback is forced because the company is not willing to give a credit or hold up to the end of the deal.

      credit = refund, unhappy customer/client

      chargeback = usually "I didn't do it" or "it was fraud"

          Credits can be considered against your chargeback ratio if the card companies feel like it. Just FYI. An excessive number of credits will be perceived as an attempt to cover up or hide chargebacks.
