    Private Show Auctions (for solo sites)

    Here is an idea I was kicking around this morning while i was in the shower.

    I know alot of dancers give private dances to some of their regulars. Why not port this idea to the internet. I know alot of girls do shows a couple times a week for all of their members, but why not reserve 2 or 3 shows a week as private shows for only one member. Auction of the show times a week or so in advance, allow the member the chance to mail you any "props" he would like you to use (obviously a PO box would be necessary, but most, if not all, of the solo girls already have one). Give them total control over that block of time, be it a half-hour, hour, whatever. I was even thinking about setting up a 3rd party auction site to handle the transactions for the girls.

    Feedback please.

      this is what I'm working on for a girl friend who is begging for her own site:

      simply offer 1on1 live chat to all members as upsell to regular group chats. let 1on1 member choose outfit & prop & ability to direct, then for add'l upsell offer to send outfit/panties/DVD to member. other upsells: phone chat via niteflirt.com, etc. but don't let members send stuff in for girl to use, not too safe, imho. while the auction has appeal, I don't mind offering the service all day long to any member at much higher vip rate. plus we're even offering a birthday/bachelor discount!

          Arika has been doing that since her site opened. Easy extra $500.00/week for her doing it.

              You guys are missing the point. Since space is limited (the girl can't do 50 private shows a week), auction off the spots she is willing to do so you can maximize the revenue from those spots.

                  true. but my friend wants to work online 60-80 hours a week because she loves the idea. I can only hope that she'll be too busy to do 50+ private shows a week. she said if I don't put her online, she'll find some other way to do it. good grief.

                  but you're right, if your girl is in high-demand (or very busy, other jobs, etc) after launching, then by all means auction her private time to the highest bidder. supply & demand. makes perfect sense.

                          Actually, the reason most models have to work so much is they get raped by the cam programs. If they have a way to get payed without going through the rape cycle, they only have to do a few shows a week to make very good money. Models that really do have control over there own site can make huge cash very quickly, but unfortunatley most program owners keep that fact from them. DVD's and custom videos are another big upsell, and if the model can shoot and edit her own video, then burn it, she can maximize that option as well.

                              just the tip of the iceburg.... been doing free private 1 on 1's for a while now for members... aside from adding into retention for a single girl site it makes it even more personable...

                                  thanks for the info. she'll be running her own site cause i've already got lots on my plate. I just helped her with tech, found a KICKASS domain name for her, etc. but she's wants to edit her own stuff which is great. i was going to suggest she sign up with one of the Cam-farms that are out there, but based on your post, i'll re-think that.

                                  but she wants to chat with members 4+ hours almost everyday day, is that unwise for her? to make herself that accessible? isn't that something that would have great appeal to members? rentention? I assumed the more the better, but what do you suggest? she's even willing to do hardcore (not one of my perks). "willing", she's probably looking forward to it. always suspected she was a nympho.

                                          nope they are not an upsell on my site.. i do the 5 camshow/chats a week and under events there are selected times for private 1 on 1 shows... just part of the site.. i feel it makes it very personal and even though i could charge/upsell it i choose not to...

I plan on doing some heavy promotion for single girl sites, so I'll make a note of all this and check out your affiliate program.... but quick question... I see your aff-link leads to mediumpimpin.com, but your site is not listed in their site section? are you listed w/in their webmaster section? or?

                                                  I do live shows everyday as well. Then my members earn points each time they log on, write me a message, post in my forum and more.

                                                  Then they can bid or pay for private show or private phone session

                                                              You should have the girls look into the Camz network. Camz

                                                              I like the operation they have,

                                                              1. If you have your own site, hosting etc, then do at least 4 shows a month for them and in return your members get access to all the other Camz girls shows, PLUS your members get access to about 120 different recorded video feeds. (Both are great for members retention)

                                                              2. They will host your site for free if you do 8 shows a month with them and you get all the other stuff also.

                                                              If they want to do 1 on 1 Camz has a system in place for that also and it seems very popular.

                                                              I average around 400 people durning one of my 4 1 hour live cam shows per month which I think is pretty good, it helps people get exposed to what it is I do on my site and results in 3-5 signups per show.

                                                              Camz staff are real people, great to be around. I have tried a couple different options for cams over the years and I have to say that the camz guys do the best job I have seen.

                                                              Talk to Dan, I'm sure he would be glad to help anyone get started.
                                                              SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
