The cold wind swept through my tangled hair as I step out of the shaggy station. It's been eight years since I took the train to the wild city to live a dream I believed was meant for me. Leaving behind a humble life...breaking a promise that was thought to be a happy ending. I looked back to where we last stood, giving each other endless whispers of love and passionate kisses of desire.
James wore his best clothes that sad rainy day, an hour before my scheduled departure for the city. Our eyes were sore from the tears of last night's goodbyes. For one final moment, we shared each other's bodies, entwining and unifying ourselves until we can do no more. His eyes were begging but I was young and ambitious, the need to look for other horizons overtook my thinking then. "I will return," I promised to his ears, as he continues to move in slow rocking motions as he engulfs my whole being again....
But as days went by, as what would always happen to long-distance love affairs, the commotions of the city would blow me into its traps, forgetting a past and breaking a heart.
The carriage went past the hills where we spend most of our nights together in a tree house that he built just for us, a love nest so to speak. The rural remains as humble as it was several years ago, from the friendly people to its quiet ambience, everything seemed the same as what I left it before. And how I hoped it is also just as the same with the man I have always kept in within my being...
My heart pounded fast against my bosoms as the carriage rolled into a halt in front of the garden where I use to lie or run around with James during our games of passion or fun. I nervously crept out to look for the face I have longed to see...whose lips I've always dreamed of lingering into mine again....
