Kevin Smith is a genius with dialogue. No matter how high the chick flick factor, it will be worth watching as there will no doubt be repeatable lines to use on your friends.

*sigh* have to love people.
Jay & bob was the last of that series of films. Smith is branching out and being a traditional director. This is his first 'traditional' project. Think of it like John Hughes. I LOVED the brat pack stuff he did but eventually he had to direct Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
If people only think Smith is jay & bob then give him back to us. If it sucks, it will suck and we will wait for his next work.
I think I heard that we in the UK are actually getting it first..that may have been a rumour but it would be a turn up for the books as we usually have to wait ages to get his stuff. One premier I may actually go to.
Btw, he is also set to direct a prequel to Fletch..what the world has waited for all these years.Comment

Watching the trailer makes it sound a lot like a British movie that Richard E. Grant was in a few years back called Jack & Sarah but with the kid being a bit older.Comment
