    What to do if ad aware and spybot don't work?

    So, on my brand new computer, i have managed to get spyware already. Ad aware and spybot do not detect it. It pops a window advertising shit like weather bug and other non adult sponsors.

    What should I do to get rid of this fucker? I thought adaware and spybot were the killers of all spyware.

              hijackthis is a great program that can help get rid of the stuff that spybot and ad-aware can't. only thing is that you need to know what you are doing or know someone who does.
              you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..

                  thanks for the url, I remember "Webroot" use to do advertising for them years back.

                  I just downloaded it and I am bout to delete Ad-Aware

                              I think they are using the windows messenger exception. You have to disable your messenger service. This is from the form I send to all our customers...

                              To disable this service you must go to



                              Control panel ?

                              Administrative tools ?

                              Component services ?

                              Services(local) ?



                              You must then highlight the messenger service. Click to stop. You must then right click and choose properties and then choose to disable this service so that it does not start again the next time you start your computer.
                              SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
