Yeah I didn't think they were more than 1 hit wonders, do not wish failure on anyone but damn I was hoping they would fade.
Slow Motion is actually more a tribute to Solja Slim than anything, they were just trying to put out some of his works because he got killed. I here it is in HEAVY rotation on the west coast, more so than down here.
Southern Rap is devided into two types, Gangsta and Bounce (party type) I would put B.G. aka B.Gizzle up there with any of the greats and I think his failure to be more widly known is accredited to Koch Entertainment not really caring or doing much with him and his split from Cash Money/Universal and the issues surrounding him and Slim (owner/CEO). Great story teller, been in the game since he was like 11, speaks in understandable English, uses real words and has originated many of the terms you use today. Sometimes he will go for like 30 lines without ever hitting a hook, he has been said to only hook because without it no one will really know the name of the song and you can not get it out there. How many other rappers claiming to be great have a term they rap about become part of the english language and be listed in the dictionary, if you do not know what I am talking about look up the word "Bling Bling" originated and coined by the man himself in the late 90's while rapping with Cash Money as one of the original Hot Boys.
