    Broadband Satellite

    Anyone else use satellite for there broadband? Specifically direcway?

    Were I live this is the only broadband available, thing that sucks is they cap your downloads. You cant download more then 169 megs within a four hour period, if you do your connection comes to screeching halt, and your booted off the system for a few hours.

    This is the bullshit you have to deal with when using direcway satellite broadband.

          sat internet sucks, especially when you have to dial in for upstream, its so bloody slow.

          that download limit is pretty cruel too

                      I had optonline cable broadband in NY and loved it, no one beats optonline thats for sure. My luck i pick place to move and there is no broadband. few miles up etc people have dsl and cable, just didnt hit this part of town yet


                      uploads speeds are a FUCKING JOKE! if im LUCKY i can get the speed of 56k or better.

                      download speeds are comparable to DSL, but with way more problems and outages, and the lag factor sucks. But it beats a dial up!
