ICE is crystal meth. Ice is also know as the Hawaiian Salt "origanly" called back in the 90's. It started to surface in hawaii after it dissapeared for some time. It came back as a hot new high to a new generation of users and made it's way world wide in less then 10 years. Making it the most additive drug to man. Ice, as the kids call it, is high grade crystal methamphetamine, Thus called because the fewer impurities (the better the brew) leave a more symetrical crystal lattice, giving a transparent ice-like appearance.
Crank is low grade meth. Usually crushed and sold in powder because it doesn't form very well. Sometimes it forms well but just turns pink.. or some other color (an impurity).
And yes, it's been around for a while....
Methadrine: Chinese < 1900

We give Amphetamine to our Air Force pilots before long missions (google that... there are some lawsuits going on about that).
Oh.... and Ephedra... which was recently put on a watch list and then banned is just an OH group away from methamphetamine.
Dexadrine (weight loss indication): active ingredient: methamphetamine.

My mom got diet pills in the 60's and 70's from her doctor. all the time. My 3 year old brother accidently ate a whole bottle of them and was hospitalized. They also used to sell a candy diet aid called
AIDS. That made my mom freaking nasty.
My doc now perscribes Xanax for mommies. Sometimes mommies need a little help she says. lolComment

It's also not just speed, it's crystal meth. Although I doubt the usage figures - theres no fucking way meth is more popular than e's I have known a few people to use it occasionally over the past year or two and before that it just wasn't heard of.Comment

although i did of course say that a lot of speed (and therefore meth) was manufactured here, that and weed.. although.. we also manufacture e's and still sell it at the imported price.
maybe I did cast a black eye on our meth cooks

ummm, Ice is NOT NEW.
I have seen people doing ice for awhile now, not sure if its the same thing as meth, i stay away from that crap.
i like to drink some beers and smoke some herbs but I aint into speed.
but its nothing new thats for sure, that shit stinks.
ive smelled it in an apartment and the whole fucking place starts to smell like it, it smells like burnt plastic.
really nasty, no clue how people can smoke it.
