    What farting banner? - here is the solution

    I agree that it would suck to disable flash in your browser because of some banners on gfy.

    Simply install another browser for gfy.
    I suggest opera. I think by default flash is not installed or else you can turn it off.

    I downloaded Opera just to browse gfy but after a while i was so happy with it that i now use it to browse almost any site.

    Anyway, opera will let you browse gfy WAY faster than ie and no more funny noises! Also no more spyware, no more startpage hijacks etc.

    If you want to keep IE as a default for browsing ok, just add opera on your taskbar for surfing gfy. Give it a try, you will love it.

                                                                                  I choose to do neither. I have an external amplifier I channel everything through, and have configured everything the way I want it to be. I get music all day long, no farting banner, and am generally happy.

                                                                                  However, I don't expect you to find buying an amplifier as a solution, therefore I recommended the next easiest level of peace that you can find: The mute option. Simple, inexpensive, and effective.

                                                                                  If justifying using Opera by way of "it eliminates the fart banner!" makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, then by all means... do. And I shall be happy in the knowledge that you're comfortable with your decision.

                                                                                                                      I already mentioned this but just for you im gonna do it again. People want to listen music, watch vids that are posted etc. The same people also check gfy 20 times a day. This would mean that they would have to click on and off 20 times a day. This is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more effort and fucking WAY more annoying than surfing gfy with Opera.
