If you have lots of ram it will still run on a p200. If memory serves me right anything bellow a p200 and it will not let you even install it. -
ok i formatted 3 hard drives with xp had a problem with a board got plenty more here so will just plug em in i wasnt gonna sit and wait for old pcs to format them for me so did the hard drives on p4 and will swappem around. well got a tone of ram around so will juice em up and see how they goComment

Any processor with a mathco processor can run XP, I believe. Sure, anything with a mathco processor can run any OS but the speed...well, lets just say it won't be fast :P
I have ran a 300mhz celeron with 64mb ram on XP fine.
Btw, those that may have issues with it being "slow" should read what I am about to say. Windows XP once again didn't turn on UDMA by default. If you have a fast drive, you should always turn on UDMA, it makes such a big difference... performance wise

what is the slowest machine you know running on XP ...
I have to re-format badly, but have been putting it off
I have installed/uninstalled so many things in the past year or so, that my machine now takes a 3-5 second piss break every time I double click something
opening an image, a browser, a new application, a folder, or anything .... does not matter
I have mostly got used to it now .. but every time somebody uses my machine, they remind me how fucked up it really is
one day soon I will reformat it, and have like a brand new PC for 3 weeks again !!
BTW ... this posessed box is an Athlon 650Mhz w/512MB RAMComment
