time to get my 2 cents in... Just because we are competitors and this is what we do..
Can you buy these things like XBOXES etc for affiliate because the affiliates are not getting credit for
phone orders? (the big number at top of all ur pages)
toll free fax number? (again at top of pages)
or the paypal orders? (seemings everything that goes through securenetsafe i very much doubt u are)...
Problem with this is I KNOW the % of orders ur affiliates lose because of this and its approaching 40% , many people use paypal, many many people.
Also what about exit sales and upsales?
Lets play on a level field, go to ur boss and actually design a program which will give your affiliates THEIR SALES.
Regarding gimmics like xboxes etc, yeah u guys love them we know that... u send us sales we can do all this and give out prizes etc, what I am interested in doing is your bottom line, the $$$ you take away at the end of the month...
And to predict the backlash, yes we take paypal, yes affiliates get commision, yes we also the ONLY pill site which pays YOU REBILLS.
No we do not take phone orders, we did for a 2 week period until we realized that surfers do NOT have a clue the site name they just left to get to yours, so theres NO way u can credit affiliates.
MensNiche aint perfect but my aim is to provide a program which is setup to benefit urself, WHY should i benefit too much from ur traffic to the scale of like 40% of ur traffic purchasing via NOT tracked payment methods - I shouldn't.
If u want an higher bottom u know where to come.

We have 3 MGP's with a total traffic of around 150K (all of them growing nicely). If you think we can make money by having a text link on them then I am game. I however have my doubts but I am willing to give it a go.

I think tracking paypal orders are really important, i'm converting quite well with Mensniche and it probably helps.
I think mail orders and phone orders could be tracked easily, both with a special unique number given to the surfer to give out, either asked by the phone lady or printed for the mail order. Of course there would still be people who would forget it, but the extra sales couldn't hurt.
That said i do appreciate getting credits for upsells, nothing makes me happier than sending a surfer to penis-health and an hour later see the same surfer give me an extra $100 in commission at prosolution pills.
On the other hand, do-hickeys like x-boxes (i already got one from wishing.com Thanks Wishing!) are nice and make you feel appreciated. I don't think it's mandatory to have them, but it sure can make you feel appreciated.Spam link hereComment

Darren, looks like you beat me to it - programs like MensNiche is certainly the way to go if you're going to be promoting pill sites.
We may not be giving away Xboxes and PS2's yet, but with MensNiche your bottom line will be way higher than with competing programs.
Like Darren said, credit for cross sales and upsales will boost your profit margins through the roof. The reason we're not giving away the big ticket prizes is because on average we're paying you so much more per surfer than any other program.
With no way to track telephone sales and fax orders at this point, the only way to go is to track ALL traffic coming in - whether it be from direct referrals or be it a visitor that comes back 6 months down the road - with our IP tracking and cookie tracking systems you will get not only the credit for this sale, but you'll get credit for the upsale, credit for the cross sale and rebills.
There's no other company matching the offer we have at this time - and as the slogan says "your bottom line will be higher with us".

Darren, I used to sell supplements to pharmacies for a company here in town. Not only did he sell nationwide he was in every major pharmacy warehouse such as McKesson (sp). He is a multimillionaire just selling them wholesale to stores that couldn't move the products at the time. ;) His stuff is manufactured in one of the best labs in the U.S. and I guarantee you for what it is it was quality ingredients etc. Even still, the only real cost was the bottle they came in.

First of all, we DO track phone orders. Affiliate ID is the "transfer number" when they call in they dial an extension, which for example for me would be "7032" We input that # and the affiliate is credited. Same with FAX.
Second, we don't bullshit average sale or conversion ratios. We don't need to lie to get affiliate traffic. I can say with confidence what we sell and I can show any affiliate that proof. We don't hide anything.

The xbox business and bonuses. Everyone knows it is good PR on the boards. But affiliates that send decent sales don't need them.

Wishing taught me nothing, to be honest. Yes todd is a nice guy blah blah. However i came in with experience, and came out knowing their product names. Nothing more. So let's not get stuck here.
Ive been working .coms for 3.5 years now. I learned everything I know in mainstream - and from small personal projects. As well as friends in adult.
As far as the phone #s go, as we talked about on ICQ we are fixing the graphics. Right now our customer support girls know how to get the affiliate ID from the address bar from the customer on the line.
As with every program there are glitches. But we are working out the bugs that come up to us. If we are notified of anything we make sure we fix it. Especially if it is a big concern.
As for the personal stabs - wishing picked me up damn cheap. I was a board whore nothing more. I didn't even have access to an admin panel of any kind. It was shabby. They knew I was cheap as hell and would not be there forever. I was making enough $ to sleep - I had to go to my parents every weekend to eat.
When given another opportunity I took it. JMan knew that I know my stuff and they gave me an offer I could NOT refuse. back into an office and decent pay. Not to mention sending their affiliate manager to vegas, one of the biggest shows of the year.
EVERY pill program has its negatives and positives. But to ruin our rep over a couple of sales a day not credited to affiliates... now THAT would be stupid.
When we get a sale come in with no affiliate ID, we research it to make sure it didn't come from an affiliate. (referral URL is tracked on the click etc)
I won't argue this anymore. But if any AFFILIATES are concerned about anything on our site I will address those concerns without a doubt.Comment

Regarding the telephone operator asking the person who is trying to purchase the product on the phone to look at their computer and find an affiliate ID is just a joke, i know from doing support that surfers are generally not the brightest, lets not kid ourselves u tell ur affiliate u track sales and ONLY now are u trying to change things on the site...

We weren't so cheap when you needed a job.. As with everything in this industry "board whores" come and go. Duane and company don't have a real good rep in this industry some in my opinion they won't last that long anyways.
I think Darren made some valid points about your program, don't you agree?
I can only speak for my company, but on wishing.com we have no toll free #'s listed, no paypal payments, no exit consoles, etc.
We run it just like we run our 15 adult toy stores online, no links to anywhere else on the site.. With products you need to keep the traffic you have..

I agree Todd, as I said you guys helped me out when I needed work. And in the email I wrote you I explained all of that in GREAT detail. But we know what happened that night. We can keep that one quiet. I haven't told anyone about it.
Darren made VERY good points. And as for the paypal sales I HONESTLY can't say if we do or not simply because I don't know. So I will find out and get back to you guys on that.
As for phone orders, every graphic and text will be changed to include the affiliate ID tomorrow. But as I say the amount of sales that go through without an affiliate ID are VERY low.
It's all good you guys. I'm not taking the offensivly at all. More than anything constructive critisism. Good time to see what people think.

I honestly feel that the xboxes, cash bonuses, whatever can be thrown in the trash.
Does your site convert better than 1:20 on targeted traffic? If you could show a big player stats with 500 sales at that ratio, you get their attention.
Then show them their traffic doing that well, you get a new, productive affiliate.
Glitz, glam, and giveaways mean nothing to people who can send real sales. It boils down to the cash per hit sent to your program for most. If you can add an extra $1 per hit then people start to listen.
