You'd have been better off saying, hey lets all make plans to go to x club, and we'll try and get everyone in and buy everyone drinks.
What is sounds like you got was to foot the bill for Alien Ant Farm so a bunch of self important Miami fucks could enjoy them.
I mean really.. what did you get for your money? VIP passes ignored, VIPs expected to spend hundreds of bucks to sit in the section the sponsors supposedly paid for?
Definitely sounds like they pulled a fast one.
